Re: Sweater clad otter??

I think the benefit is that it gives you more otters than are otherwise available at your level. I have no use for more otters as I have trouble keeping up with the demand for baskets, fishing nets, mole backpacks, sloth buckets etc as it is. I do, however, really appreciate the 4th coconut palm and...

Re: Prestige stars

I figure it' kind of like accumulating expansion parts after hitting the maximums. The game still keeps track of these things even if not displayed any more. I kind of assume that sooner or later there will be an update that adds a new thing to buy with these points.

Re: Generous Gifts

I would have guessed the opposite. The whole point of the Generous Gifts was the joy of giving to others. Would they really turn around and reward players for holding on to them? As you say, the game designers are sometimes illogical and unpredictable, so who knows. I plan to give all mine away for ...

Re: Other Islands

Hi BethM, Crate Island is great for getting those crates for the Treehouse. That is why I posted some pics, it is a bit complicated to explain the trading. You really do need to think it out and check your inventory of parts:P I only use the crate island. It is the other one that makes no sense. Af...

Re: Other Islands

For me, the relic ruins payoffs are way too low. About 9 times out of 10 I get 20 some coins - way less than the 200 i could have earned selling the clearing tool in the World Market. The rare bigger payoff is still sometimes less than 200. I don't think I have ever gotten a pet sticker, usually jus...

Guano island

I've thought for a while that this game is kind of an environmental disaster. Most players have clear cut the whole island, removing every tree, shrub or rock that stood in the way of progress. It seems bad enough to destroy tropical rainforest for farms, but clear cutting forests to make space for ...

Re: Gingerbread house

I did some of the boats trading gifts, but ignored most of them. On the surface it seems like a helpful addition, but the boats usually demanded products needing the same mills and resources already in use to make other toys. For example, yesterday a boat arrived offering two of the glass blower toy...

Re: After lv8, the GBH levels up surprisingly fast

Yeah, 8 and up are a whole lot easier. It takes only 3250 hearts and they basically give you the first 1300 for free. At each level, we earn the 300 heart toy plus the 3 gifts get us the 300 stars needed to buy the 1000 heart Gifts Galore.

Re: Sound effect changes, please!

Yeah. The dog got kind of annoying pretty quickly. I also moved the boy over a square to stop it.

I think an alert sound for a boat trade is a great idea.

Re: Woodshop not moving

I noticed that too. It does still move when I make the regular items like boards, but it is still when making to coco nut cracker.
