I left farmville for this game and I was hoping things would be better.

Game is back up. It was down for 20 minutes. Sure don't seem incompetent to me.

the ongoing problems are the incompetence... not the server downtime for today only.

I’m amazed AnchormanSteve even bothered to post anything.

We’ve been experiencing problems with the game since his “first” appearance and (to my knowledge) he hasn’t uttered a peep. (Lame bird joke)

Not impressed.

Not at all.

I don't get the whine. IMO it makes since for the PB folks to only show up when they actually have something new to say.

They don't need to show up just to give us a target for complaining about on-going issues everyone already knows about.

I realize this is their official forum, and I guess there are probably more lurkers than posters, but we still probably don't add up to 1% of their player population.

This isn't a free game. it's a product. Some of us have put money into it. So pardon us for whining. When there is a major outage, or problems that last for days or weeks, it would make more sense for them to drop by and post a few lines telling people what is going on and what is being done. That is how you treat customers. This forum should be the place to come to for information about things that aren't working or when a person suspects that the game servers may be being worked on. -- If this were a totally free game that had no in game purchases at all, I could see your point... but its not, and it does. So we complain when it doesnt work until they fix it, or at least become more transparent with information about it. The problems with this game have been ongoing since I began it several months ago. Not quite as bad as Farmville but still.. My very first purchase of emeralds didn't even go through because of some backend problem on their side. The support staff told me that it was normal and that I should wait 24hrs Nonsense. ANd then we come to today and a month ago... when the store goes bonkers and none of us can buy anything... and it just happens to be on the day the trade fest starts. its horrible.

MY wm went down early this morning, and wasn't back up until late afternoon. Yes, it effected my game, especially since I was working to open land . I was irritated and didn't see this post until just now.. lol... guess I'd better literally check everywhere, eh? ;)

But I have a time question...

I read a post here where it only took 20 minutes. Bravo for the writer, but why did not all of us have the same experience? I know nothing about developing or maintaining a agme, so nobody needs to get uptight about my question, please. Okay? I was always taught the only dumb question is the one you never ask. So I'm asking.

Is it a time zone thing? Something else?

Cheers!

OH! I'll be making another wish post once I send this. Let's have some more fun 8-)

Planned maintenance is fine. When you add up all the errors, dives starting as soon as you enter the game like it did before they changed it many months ago, because they are making a big change,....world market still isn't working properly a month later. Things are still coming up as sold no matter what even just after you enter the market, or switching to something else...or not showing at all when you're trying to trade yet others can see the item assuming you get more than 3 or 4 stalls in the market to start with. Changes and games going down, boatyards when people supposedly have the full edition, I rarely see more than one boat at my island and its usually only OH or DD boat. Game crashing or freezing unexpectedly. The friends bar lag has just been fixed yet as past experience shows will reappear again on the next big update and that is without the lag on the main island part that nobody seems to be that bothered about....reported and added to the "to do but sometime list" , the cocoa factories not giving out full 6 harvests and being told that it cannot possibly happen. Yeah right. plus more, you can see why people get mad especially when rarely is there any official input here or when you email them you either get ignored or are treated as a newbie who doesn't know anything technical.

Go and read the King care forum. See how many posts are dedicated to the slightest glitch on Candy Crush. This is a King game. Its only polite if the game makers are having reports of issues to have a post where they can tell people they are having issues. Because more often than not, people email support to be told its their device. Until a larger population email then they treat it as an issue. Its nice to have official word. A point King doesn't seem to realise unless its again about Candy crush. I have this conversation frequently with the King care team directly.

And today I'm simply getting 2-4 items in the world maket available. And nothing can be bought because its already gone. even things that appear right before my eyes in someone's personal market.
