Book of Secrets riddle

“place the compass where you catch the wind and tap the compass”

What compass??? And it seems obvious where I catch the wind would be a sail or possibly a windmill but I have no idea what they are talking about. Probably because I don’t even know what compass they are talking about. I’ve searched my island and see nothing new or different.

You would have gotten the compass from the BOS2. If you did not place it on your island look in your build menu for it under the bird icon. It's called Grey Beard's Eye.
In the change of tides, we find our direction.

You have to have completed BOS1 and BOS2 to have the necessary stuff for BOS3. Have you done 1 and 2 yet?

I don't think they would have been offered BOS3 if they hadn't purchased 1 and 2 yet Jerry.

Ah, thank you! I found the compass in my build menu. Now I don’t know where to place it though. I hope I’m not missing an item.

The chest has to be put in the area in front of the steps by the windmill storage area. You may need to move other items out of the way temporarily in order to set the chest there to move forward with the book of secets.
