Prestige points/Items

Ok a little new to PB itself so only on level 25 at the moment. I'm trying to think a little further in the future here and make plans before I'm forced to make a choice on what I want to do and know nothing of the choices. I know I'm jumping the gun here but as far as I can tell its hard to earn prestige points and it gets easier as your levels go up? Levels 40s-50s?
My main question is... once I earn the prestige would it be better to get the trees/bushes OR would it be better to just save up my gems and get the eternal ones? Are the ones for prestige points eternal or no?

 Sorry for my ramblings I'm a sleepless mother whos only had 2-3 hours of sleep the past couple of days. No rest for the weary right? :?

If you get to Tradefest bonus tiers, you may get 1 or 2 there. The Sunshine challenge sometimes gives a 1 or 2 prestige point reward .

At lower and mid levels, they accumulate pretty slowly.

The main way long time players have earned them was by reaching max level. Once we reach the current level limit, our xp points convert to prestige points at the rate of 15,000 xp becoming 1 prestige.

I have found out that for cacao and mangos I still need to get the extra trees with Prestige even though I have 3 eternals of each. That makes me 7 trees of each and and I still run short. I have 3 eternals each of lemons and coconut and finally have enough to even share occasionally.without buying Prestige trees any more. I am hoping they will offer eternal pomegranate and magnolias in the future. My best advice to you is to be patient, keep playing, and get as many trees as possible when you are able. Good luck!

Trees bought for prestige points are not eternal trees. My advice to you is save up as many gems as you can and get at least eternal coconut and cocoa.

It would be nice if prestige points could buy eternal trees. Gems seem to be more scarce on my island, must be stripping all my resources out of the soil.

They give us a surprising number of free gems, but we need to acknowledge that our spending real money on gem bundles is part of their business plan.

Still we should get a 3 gem treasure chest each day, plus 3 to 6 gems from the Giving Tree about once a day (technically every 16 hours, but I'm not setting alarms for that). There are also the small boats that show up buying pearls or island third slot items for 1 to 5 gems. I've never paid enough attention to know what their frequency is. Is it by time or some count of boats turned over at our docks?

If you have the tower, that's a few more gems each week, and we get gems sometimes from diving or helping on dives. If you are frugal in your gem spending, resisting the temptation to blow them on rushing things or buying missing items, it is possible to accumulate a pretty good pile of free gems.

Back to prestige though, I am in a similar quandary re Prestige in my second game. The points accumulate so slowly that getting any of the big decor items seems pretty distant. I don't really want any of the smaller decor here, and it seems a waste to use the points for a tree that disappears in a week or so. So far, my indecision means I have still not spent any.

In my main game, I have all the prestige decor and it is all now in storage except the campfire. I do use prestige to buy the fourth tree or shrub in this game.
