Gems and platinum

Have read in a few posts that gems and platinum are no longer needed. Is this true? Can I cash them out now. Shoud I?

With the update that included the Pet Sanctuary they've eliminated gems and platinum as barter items. If you have enough to buy flowers, do so. Then you can trade flowers for chests at the bizarre for stickers, although they are randomly given. If you have enough flowers to buy a pet you want under the old system.. You still can.

Also , with random gems and plat you can buy chest at bizarre for coin.

Use them to make whatever pets you dont have as multiples of the same pet are not available in the new system. Anything left over use to buy treasure chests

Don't forget gems are still required to purchase recipes. How do we save up for them now they aren't offered in dock trades and random treasure chest gems are rare?

Recipes can now be purchased with pearls only. 20 pearls ir running about standard at the moment.

My understanding is that recipes are now purchased with pearl. Jewels are no longer needed. I think recipes now require 20 pearls
