Christmas Cheer value when receiving a gift is too low

Postby Liselo » Mon Dec 19, 2016 3:17 am

The holiday cheer value of 5 is too low when you receive a gift. When you gift someone, you get 100. When someone gifts you, you should also get 100. Paradise Bay, I know you want people to spend real money to buy get all the cute Christmas decorations, but come on, that value is of 5 is rubbish!

When you receive a gift you also get something else, I have gotten storage pieces , XP and the 5 holiday cheer. It is a gift, we do nothing to deserve it or earn it.
Why complain about receiving a Gift?
Be grateful that someone thought to give it to you.

Because some people just like to find any thing to complain about, even a totally free gift, LOL!!!

While I ascribe to this philosophy in real life (how could you not? :)), I agree with Liselo in the context of the game. The point of the gift is to help someone with their game, but the giver is receiving 100 points for giving and the giftee is only receiving 5.

It is more blessed to give than to receive.

We have to also consider that some players don't have the advantage of having friends and they may not receive any gifts.
A gift is a gift. I am quite happy to get anything without any effort.

I don't keep friends on my game and I have received 14 gifts so far. I'm sure people with lots of friends on their game get a lot more but I am happy with anything I get!

Not just the 5 cheer points. The receiver also receives something else. I have received several gifts. I usually receive a storage piece as well. I have received a pulley and a box plus some other stuff. It goes by fast. It really is a nice gift to receive.
The barge will be there for 2 weeks after this event ends. There will probably be more opportunities to collect cheer to purchase from the barge.
This is my first year doing the Christmas event. I have a nice start on the decor. It is no hurry to collect decor. I don't get the complaining about free gifts. I know PBfan is right, some people will complain about anything. Let's see, if the recipient received the same amount someone would complain, if the recipient received more people would complain.
Poor PB devs, they try to do something nice for us for the holidays and still get complaints.
Not me, thank you PB devs for a nice Christmas event with the clever idea to allow us to gift others.
