IMO, what I think would be fair: if anyone completes tier 50 they should automatically get Shelly.

What would be fair is for Shelly the clam to be the first 15 bonus tiers and then random prizes afterwards.
Even then a lot of us would not get Shelly. We have real lives to get to. Not all of us are super stackers who can breeze through these tiers. I usually am only able to complete 10 - 15 bonus tiers per Tradefest.
So unless there is a reasonable offer to purchace most of the Shelly stickers I will not be getting this pet either.
Just finished my first bonus round, got Shelly sticker number 1.
14 to go.

That's SO messed up!
Really fair would be if Bonus Tier rewards where limited to "Pet" related items! Stickers and Primos; now those are bonuses! I could see if BT were only 100-250 hearts but 500; and you're rewarded with scraps of paper?!!! The Pets are the main [if not the only] reason people participate in Tradefest! So why all the Maps??? Pets don't eat map pieces, do they? (Now that's any idea waiting to pop! ) As if there's a new island most haven't unlocked?!!! Even if there were...there's too many other places that offer Maps in this game for them to be considered a BONUS! Just a way for them to DECREASE the odds of us actually getting enough stickers to adopt Shelly or INCREASE the odds of us doing whatever's necessary to complete all 43 Tiers before the clock runs out!!!

Good thing I bought a lot of grab and go type food at the grocery store yesterday cuz my kids can forget about me cooking for the next few days!

I really hope they offer shelley at an affordable price in a package. She is so cute and i would lovoe to own her! I've done several bonus tiers and haven't seen a single shelley sticker yet. And I can't do any more since my kids are home for spring break

Seems very unfair. I'm going at snail's pace, not even halfway through tier 6, and the odds are not looking so good... :/ I'm trying to get hedgehog by the end of the day and use last five days of the event to get Shelly, but I keep getting dragged away from the computer *sigh*

As if there's a new island most haven't unlocked?!!!there is indication that there is another island on the horizon-maybe that's why so many map pieces-or they are just trying to cheese us off? Even if there were...there's too many other places that offer Maps in this game for them to be considered a BONUS! I really don't think they intended anyone to get Shelly in this Tradefest.

Shelly isn't going away, though at current reported trends it may take a very long time (if ever) for the "average" player to get it. The "average" player being of course someone who manages to complete 5-6 bonus tiers tops., in which case said player will likely earn 1-2 Shelly stickers per Tradefest and it would take them a year (if not more) to obtain it -- and that seems a little (ok a lot) long to me.

Now if you assume that the odds are even (25% per item - i don't think they are), then the odds of getting a sticker (of any kind) actually improved with this Tradefest. Whereas previously it was a one-in-three (33%) shot at getting a random sticker, the odds are now 50-50 (25% Shelly + 25% other).

Lastly of course for max level players getting map pieces is frustrating, but that doesn't mean that they're worthless for everyone. Sure almost everyone would rather have stickers, but for a lower level player they could use that to unlock the next island, or run the next adventure ship.

The one thing I never, ever, want to see again in bonus tiers is tools.

I'm having technical issues with my tablet and power cord, and now another snowfall preventing me from getting out to fix the problem. Argh!!!!

Close to getting the little hedgehog, fingers crossed.

Maybe Shelly stickers could be put up at Ghost Cove?
I know it's not probable, but can't hurt any to put it out there.
