Overload of posts on threads.
I've noticed that someone starts a topic and maybe adds a picture. Then the next reply answer's the question and then you get 4 more people answer the same answer and a joke, then 5 or 6 people post some lol emoji, then someone says how much so and so is funny or cute and puts something totally off subject on there and 4 or 5 people comment on that and before you know it it's 6 pages of the same thing, and things not related. It reminds me of a preschool class without a teacher. I have been guilty of adding stupid stuff myself. I got frustrated with a couple of people and left the forums and only come back from time to time for info but all I get is alot of gossip and nonsense. I've almost quit posting and reading because it's so out of hand and the same 5 or 6 people just bombard the topics with nothing. I'm glad these people have an avenue to chat but man do you guys chat. I guess I'm just asking for a little restraint on subjects of importance and start other threads to chat. And you do but it's chat excessively on every thread. A small humble request that will be ignored with useless chatter on purpose to just say we are in charge. But your making getting information hard to get. Just had to put this out there.

It's nice to see you here again. But you are right, the threads get very long with little information.
There are some threads special for entertainment and fun. I mostly read only the first half of a thread. That helps.

I have noticed that they left this thread alone. No 2 pages of nothing. I haven't read any of the other threads just checked this one. I hope they at least looked at it. Thanks Hanna for taking the time to read.

Re: Overload of posts on threads.
There are several people on these boards who seem to come for friendly interaction as much or more than content discussion, but that is just part if the spirit of this board. We are not all business here. I think it is nice that people have this outlet for happy and harmless discussion.
My biggest whine is that too many threads contain a series of replies quoting earlier posts in the entirely, text, graphics, signature baloney with animated gif and who knows what other nonsense, sometimes along with one or more other quotes embedded in that one. You can scroll down thru 15" of thread and still see only 4 messages, with the first one repeated in the following three. When you scroll thru a thread, you see these same image 15 times because people can't be bothered to trim their quotes before posting. I can't really blame them too much though, because the board software is pretty terrible and makes it a real chore to Use the select feature To get rid of the parts you don't want.
I would like to see them change the quote post feature automatically exclude non-text content and the signature tags. The intro quote box will already identify that poster, so there is no need for the sig again at the end.

BethM you always hit the mark. It was what I was saying only better with the same picture over and over without trimming the pictures and editing some of the text. And once it is answered there's no real need to answer it again. And again. And again. I do understand needing to be part of something and be able to voice your opinion. And most are so sweet. I was just hoping a less filled discussion topics people really need help on. Ask question, get answer, move on. New comers are overwhelmed with the 5 pages of how do you do X thing please.

Re: Overload of posts on threads.
I raise my hand humbly and admit to being guilty of this.
Beth, I don't know how to quote just part of a post in my reply or how to partially quote several folks in a reply. I know that we're all very busy with this hunt but maybe afterwards you could PM me or start a thread on how to do this? I would really appreciate instructions.
Thanks for the thread and insight, Checkers. Sincerely, LilBB.

Re: Overload of posts on threads.
Several of the regular posters who may have been guilty of this behavior have stopped posting all together since this thread was posted.
May be a coincidence. More likely not.
I hope you are happy now.
I miss their posts.

Starlarose, I think they are busy with the EasterBasket. Really, I am convinced of that. If not, they would say so.
