The agony of defeat....

Hi everyone,
Still slogging along like many others.. I have come to the conclusion that if the caldrons gave three items per harvest this event would have run smoothly. We would be gifting friends as we have in previous events . With one ingredient per caldron ...well, you know...
I'm at 10 and 11 with 4 days and a few hours to go...I've spent so many gems already, didn't buy the booster, but bought the mid event bundle..
There have been so many great events and I do believe most were fashioned for the masses and could be completed..However as the days tick by and my gems are depleted I too may not finish this one...

4 caldrons are needed there’s no doubt unless you want to do this event day and night.this should have been made available from get go. Not from a starter bundle.2 extra caldrons are there but not active for purchase. I believe this is the major hang up.

I agree the 2 things they need to do is
1: allow the purchase of cauldrons
2: allow the sale/trade of items
3: If not that then increase the output of the cauldrons

This task is impossible otherwise

Just look around at how many people are at low levels or are choosing not to do it When I go to swap a blue out I can't find anyone actively building there totems

No towers at all could be people who gave up or people who have finished.

But it is amazing to see so many towers still at fairly early levels. This event was totally messed up from the get go. Clearly, 2 cauldrons were never going to be enough on their own. As others have concluded, this is the first builder that was patently designed to be impossible without investing money and some gems, or just a whole lot of gems.

I don’t know when all is said and done whether it actually will be more profitable in that sense for PB, but it sure has cost them a ton of good will. For me, apart from other evils in the design of this event, having the cauldron drop rates obviously skewed to withhold a key ingredient was just not playing fair. The excessive devotion of time to harvest frequently and keep mills running was also not right.

A lot of players have soured on this game because of this event, others have revisited their desire to finish or even attempt builders in future. I, for one, have decided not to bother with builders anymore in my game 2, so that’s one starter bundle buy they won’t get anymore.

Like I said before, it is the same really bad thinking that has gotten Sears where they are. Every business should have learned by now that short term cash isn’t really the answer if it costs you customers and revenue in the long term.

I'm slogging along as well. Only on level 8. Usually by now I would be pretty close. But in this case I am not so lucky. The difficulty of this event has made it far less enjoyable than I hoped it would be. I had hoped to get all the decorations and rewards...but it seems like I won't be

This event has been zero fun. Having to buy tons of slime but have conceded defeat. No way to finish. But have lots of everything else.

NOT impossible, but I did have to use gems to buy the needed resources from time to time. I hated all the waiting for resources as the cauldrons keep spitting out the wrong things for people. Everyone has complained about getting one or the other or too much of this or that and not enough of X. I did do the event, but I only finished the Spire. I refuse to think about the time it would take to complete the Totem, but I got the "goodies" so... :D KEEP at it!!! Good luck!

Ich kann nur zustimmen, dieses Event ist nicht zu schaffen, ohne viel Geld auszugeben.Ich habe mal hochgerechnet, wenn ich täglich 12 Stunden am Stück spielen würde, hätte ich 72 Idems, davon könnte ich 18 Kürbisse herstellen und je 9 grüne und 9 rosa Flaschen, also je Pyramide 900 Punkte erreichen, ab Level 7 brauche ich aber schon 1000 Punkte. Unmöglich, verdirbt einen den ganzen Spass am Spiel.Ohne mich! Wenn es nicht bald mehr Platz gibt mit einer zusätzlichen Insel bin ich bald weg, was nutzen die schönsten Tiere und Dekorationen, wenn alles nur im Lager liegt.
