iPad Pro users

Hi, All,

I have a new iPad Pro and the game is SO much faster than on my iPad Air - just wonderful! But I find that I can no longer move rapidly around my island with one swipe/scroll move. I have to move in increments as though there is no “scroll” function. Is this true for everyone? I have an iPad Pro 2017. Thanks for any suggestions and Happy holidays!

Hey Joanie :)
I’ve been playing on the exact same device for just about a year (IPad Pro Model A1670) and have recently noticed similar behavior. It helps to ensure that your device’s screen is clean and absent of any sticky residue or film. Also, depending on the type of case you have on your device; try to make sure that the three little sensors (Smart Connector) on the long left side are either fully covered or fully uncovered. The screen may become unresponsive if those are partially covered. ;)

Thanks so much for trying to help, Livinez! I just checked those things though and I don’t think that’s it. It’s weird because scrolling -or whatever you call it when you swipe to move fast across the island - works on everything else on my iPad- including Township to fly around town there. And regular scrolling is fast in Wesley’s exports in PB too - so much better than with my iPad Air! But moving around the island only goes exactly how far my finger does - there is no floating further, so ends up very jerky. Is it that way for you when it happens - only moving around the island is messed up, but it still works everywhere else?

That’s funny you remembered that! :P I was playing on an IPad Air prior to getting my Pro last year. :)

I also play on an IPad Pro, and I can confirm the same thing. There is no inertial scroll on PB, it works fine on TownShip. I play with the power button on the right in my case so my quick connect is fully covered. I took it out of the case and fully uncovered the Quick Connect, but the same thing happened, no inertial scrolling. FYI. But, I can also report there is no inertial scrolling in Windows 10 either.

Yes, moving across the island on my Windows laptop also requires swipe, swipe, swipe.

Wow. Amazingly, inertial scrolling worked great on the iPad Air! Well, i guess PB has problems with all devices in some way or another. I do wish they would fix it - I’ll let you know if I get a response to my ticket.
