Friend Ship Update

Well, it doesn’t work entirely. When a Friendship comes to my dock, I never see any avatar but monkeyhead.

Hi Life. There isn’t any way to tell when your friend ship sails to someone else’s island. But your ship will sail for sure as long as you reached level 5 during the FS event and as long as you don’t put your FS in storage. We can tell when someone fills our order (as long as the person filling it has the FF) because we get a reward at our FS on our island, but there is no way of knowing when or how many times it may go to other people’s islands.

Hi Maui, I found your ship recently and put you on my friends list, cause I know ur friendship thingy is working. After the new event started yesterday, your friend ship came twice and brought 1 Snowy Icicle each yeah! I traded with your ship, did you get a reward?

I’ve seen both Maui’s and Lena’s avatars on my Friendship in recent days, so thank you both!

I don’t have any ff in storage but I do still have one unharvested flower pot I kept as a decoration.

Is that why I can see your avatars or can the fs owner always see those?

I was thinking the main benefit if having the ff is to be able to see the fs boat owners avatar when it arrives at your dock. Is that right?

When you don’t have friendly flowers in storage you will not be filling orders for any of your friends’s ships. The people who you see when you get a friendship gift have friendly flowers in storage and are filling those boat orders. Unless you cut down your flowers or ask support for one you will not be filling any orders from your friends and will just see anonymous monkeyheads on the boat. As far as we’ve been able to tell no actual person gets anything from you filling that order. You need to have a friendly flower in storage to start seeing who’s order you are filling.

Me too very thankful. And it is cool how PB gifts us a friendship bouquet if we ask. I finally received mine after about three emails. Again how fun to be able to fill boats that I recognize. I filled Liv’s boat today.

I’m out of the loop on this topic but I have 0 FF in inventory and have not contacted Support on the matter. Not sure how it all works but that would explain why over the past few days I’ve started seeing Avatars floating above my FS and not just Monkey Faces.

I’m pretty sure yours was one of the several I’ve seen! I’ll try to capture a screenshot the next time it happens.

Yep saw your avatar, Maui and a couple other friends. It is super fun. I am new to it all as well and was surprised glad I read the thread.

Hi everyone

Beth, Roo is correct. You see our avatars with a gift at your FS because we have FF and have filled your order. It doesn’t have anything to do with you having the FF, it is us having them. So since you do not have any FF right now (having the pot doesn’t count, you need one in storage) no one receives anything when you fill a FS order at your dock.

When you do have a FF, you will not only see the avatar on the FS that come into your dock, but those people will also get a reward if you fill their order just like you now get them from those of us who have the FF.

Alastrea, I have indeed been getting the rewards for you filling my FS orders. Thank you! I also friended your island and think I filled one of your orders recently, but can’t remeber. Too many orders, lol. I’m glad we are now connected.

Liv, same answer goes to you that went to Beth. Only thing I will add is that when you see a monkeyhead above your FS with a reward, that person really has a monkey head avatar. You are seeing more avatars now because more and more people are getting FF, but the monkeyheads are still other people, other people with FF who filled your order but have no avatar.

So basically bottom line for everyone:
No one will receive anything from you when you fill a FS order unless you have a FF in storage. It will not function at all without them. The only reason anyone gets rewards at their FS is because the person filling the order has FF. Period. So if you’d like people to get rewards when you fill a FS order, ask support for a FF. Seeing the avatar of the ship at your dock is just a bonus, the real benefit of having the FF is someone gets a reward when you fill the order (which is how it was always supposed to work but is broken beyond repair, and the only option to make it work again is to get a FF from support).

That’s correct. Unless it is a loading issue.... to see if it is, leave the gifts there and go to someone else’s island and then back to yours. If it’s a loading issue then the true avatar will appear and replace the monkeyhead. But if it is still a monkeyhead then that person really has no avatar.

And either way, they have FF

Yep when PB allowed us many new slots for friends, I finally was able to find Liv, Mat, J1st, BethM, dragonwalker and many more who chat on here the most..., super fun to have celebrates to play with..! On FB I am Angela B and my avatar shows up with an older pic of my 4 kids... on PB I am lifeunlimited and just have a random avatar (bc I never found out how to change it)! I have feed your two pets the last few days and came for a seal dive or two and of course some table feeding...

Or one and the same player multiple times. At least two must have been from me, possibly three (or even all four).

I have a limited and ever-changing list of forum folk friended, and I've had you tagged for a couple weeks now.

And usually I'm just a monkey-head. Above Mauimonkey's FS boat too.
